love thursday: when dogs become sisters

Are you feeling like there’s been a severe lack of canine love around here lately?

Maybe on the blog, but here at home Luna and Stella have only become closer and closer; a little while ago, I showed you how they ganged up to destroy an unsuspecting snowman and started snoozing together in front of the space heater.

Well they’ve since turned their (adopted) sisterly love up a notch or twelve:

Luna and Stella snoozing

Happy Love Thursday everyone!

That’s just too sweet. I love when our two boys snuggle and act all brotherly. Though considering Charlie likes to soften (cat that he is) and Griiffin is always afraid of being softened (dog that he is) it doesn’t happen all that often.

Aw, well it’s nice that every now and again they can meet in the middle :)

That’s a lot better than having two dogs that like to fight all of the time. My two males cats have their moments of sleeping together. I should take some pictures of these rare moments.

It’s absolutely better! They never fought too much, but they were never this close before either. You should definitely take photos, but then I’ll always say that ;)

Makes you wonder if they’ve somehow (through dog speak?) shared their pasts with one another causing them to bond so. Perhaps they both feel like, ahhhh….we’re finally in a loving, caring home where we can relax, count on good food, walks, and petting at regular intervals and finally unwind and just be ourselves now.
      ;-) Happy girls……

Aw those are such happy thoughts! Warms a doggie mamma’s heart :)

But it is much more exciting here with Alison’s cat hissing and growling at everything that moves. Yesterday was the first day she got the idea that she MIGHT not be human and that those creatures outnumbered her. It was also the first time her regal feet hit earth. She was quite a show.

Give the gals a pat for me.

      sweet :)

now I’ve seen cats do that often enough, but not grown dogs before. I am glad they do get on so well, and so cutely.

You know now that you mention it, I’ve never seen grown dogs sleep together either. Truth be told, they play so hard together that they seem to just collapse where they land ;)
