top o’ the morning to ya!

As I type this at 2:30 in the afternoon, it’s raining. Hard. Again.

But it was an absolutely gorgeous morning, and for the first time in a (too) long while, I went out and about and took some photos.

First, some of Luna Balloona.

Chillin’ in the piazza.

At attention.

Her response to “Work it girl! Bring the sexy back!”
Also known as the over-the-shoulder-come-hither.

Now, other nature.
A precocious fig tree that already has most of its leaves; village in background.

And, last but certainly not least, the first wild daisy that I’ve seen this year.

Even when it’s raining, may you always walk in sunshine.
–paraphrased Irish proverb

It was raining up here at the same time. Now the sun’s returned and the birds are singing. Your Luna is quite the lovely puppy.

Luna is absolutely adorable, and the pictures you share are really beautiful as well. They bring a smile to my face and brighten up the day. Seriously.

That is a really cute dog. I’m a dog person but only have a cat right now. Maybe someday when I stop traveling.

Luna is so bella (and I am not a dog person).

It’s another cool marine layer day in L.A. so I appreciate seeing photos of sunshine.

With the rain comes the beautiful yellow like in that daisy. I love rain (in moderation of course). These images show no sign of rain, but only the effects of rain.

Thanks for all the Luna back-up; I think she’s adorable, but you know how mommies are about their babies πŸ˜‰

Goodthomas, you’re so right. Actually the sun came out again after the rain for a while–it’s our daily pattern. I love the rain too, like you said, in moderation, and it sure does do wonders for all this green stuff around me πŸ™‚

Lovely looking dog. I’m a cat person but can I have your dog?! :p
Nice blog by the way. My American friend owns an Olive University in Italy. One beautiful nation.

Between reading “Eat Pray Love” and continually seeing pics on your blog, I really want to get myself out of the country for a little while! (In other words, I envy your gorgeous surroundings.) πŸ™‚

That Luna balloona is one pretty puppy. I love her colour, very foxy πŸ™‚

We had the most beautiful weather here today, it really felt like spring. I LOVE spring!

Ah, more Luna love…can’t get enough I tell you!

Stefanie, I’m jealous that you’re reading “Eat Pray Love” if that helps πŸ˜‰

Luna is gorgeous!! As are the rest of your pics, but I’m partial to dogs!

I’m just about to start reading “Eat Pray Love”. I’ve heard so many good things about it that I can’t put it off any longer!

The flower just doesn’t even compare next to Luna! She’s such a beauty. Thanks for making my day. If all you posted were pictures of that sweety, I’d still visit each day. Ok, now I’m getting a little obsessed . . . hee hee.

GORGEOUS!!! Love the fig tree with the village behind it – great shot!

Lovely images, and that is a seriously winsome dog. We Northern Californians are still waiting for the honeysuckle to bloom, but otherwise spring has sprung.

What a super cute puppy! I just love her! Wha kind of puppy is she? I have always loved dogs and I am trying to convince Roberto that they are a good idea (he is a cat person). So I am always on the lookout for cute pups! πŸ™‚

Luna is so cute! This was the first picture I have seen of her since I’m fairly new to your blog. I love the glimpses of the village in the background!

  22. sognatrice
    03.28.2007

Luna is seriously getting a big head now; I’m going to have to cut her blogging time.

Btw, Wendy, you can see more of Luna under the “Puppy Love” label if you’re interested πŸ™‚

Ah, and Jenn, Luna is a mutt (or as they say here “bastardina”), but one of my readers has pointed out that she looks like a Basenji–which she really does and even matches the temperament, etc., so she just may have some of that in her.

You should definitely try out your local shelter first if you’re looking to adopt–so many lovelies just waiting to be loved πŸ™‚

Ugh, me again, just to clear up that the reader with the eye for doggies, if I’m not mistaken, is the very Michelle that commented above–check out her site πŸ™‚

I love the puppy pix! Very photogenic. My shaggy sheepdog hardly ever poses for me, so bravo Luna! Ooh la la!

The fig tree photo is my favorite – it looks so exuberant and springy!

Oh, she is so cute! Such a sweet smile! Such lovely, caramelly eyes!

Thank you for sharing her with us. πŸ™‚

Luna is gorgeous ! And what a poser !

Just yesterday I lost a great shot of Luna because I wasn’t carrying my camera; I really should remember that she’s a model and at any given time, can break out in a great pose….

Glad you liked the fig tree Capucine. It could’ve been a better shot, but it was so bright, I was just pointing and clicking as they say. I just love how brilliant the green leaves are!
