tell me do, what’s MOO with you?
When I did the Flickr photo meme, I mentioned that my MOO mini-cards were coming via my mom. Well they’re here!
To remind you, mini-MOO cards are about half the size of normal business cards, and you can choose from your own photos on Flickr for the front (or you can get pre-made MOOs as well). MOO makes more than just mini-MOOs, though–you can also get note cards, greeting cards, postcards, and more.
To be clear, I don’t get any remuneration or anything for telling you about these, but I did promise to come back and let you know what I thought when I saw the MOOs in person . . . and I think I’m in love.

I got these “free” when I upgraded to a PRO Flickr account, but I’m going to have to order more because I find myself not wanting to give these away, and, um, hello? That *is* the point of them.
Anyway, I was planning on writing this post anyway, but then yesterday I got word from the MOOsers that they are offering a special discount to those placing orders for the first time. This was written in the MOOsletter (their word, not mine):
The code 8DN2MP* will entitle a brand new MOO customer

I purchased these MOO-ns ago. (Pathetic attempt at humor, I know!) I have pretty much run through my first batch already. I think my next order I will narrow down to my fav’s- I think the first time you can go a little crazy and I have a few that didn’t really make the *best* cards.
FYI- Zazzle also offer the same type of card, but they also make a a bit larger size as well. I might give those a try next time.
A little tip for you…..take your fav’s and put a piece of magnet tape on the back- viola- a fridge magnet with your own lovely picture on it!!

Love your blog, but I’ve noticed that lately you’re straying away from more feelings-centered posts and moving towards more generic stuff (I don’t really mean generic but I couldn’t find a better word).. I miss reading about your interactions with P and the other people in Calabria! I miss reading about your feelings, your home, your dogs, etc…. Sometimes I don’t want to read about cooking or moo cards (as cute as they may be!), and I just want to sit down and revel in the amazingness that is your life. 🙂
Well thank you for caring so much Audra! You’re probably right that there have been fewer “me” posts lately; a lot of that is a function of the summer and that my mom was here for a month…those posts take a long time to write for me, and I just don’t have it right now. Although I am finally getting around to answering some reader questions, so there will be some more personal stuff in there to tide you over….
