love thursday: a girl and her elephant

Hey, if a boy can be cute with his tiger, why can’t a girl and her elephant* get some love?

P’s niece with one of our gifts for her Valentine’s birthday.

I think she’s wondering why everyone didn’t get her a stuffed elephant, but that’s just my opinion.

*Although I would’ve preferred it, I couldn’t find a donkey.

Happy Love Thursday everyone!

    This is very cute.

If she is really into elephants, someone could “adopt” one for her from here:

    Sognatrice,

P’s little niece – what’s her name? I gotta have a name to go with such an adorably cute face. The eye glasses, I think, make her even cuter. But, what a drag to be looking through lenses at such a young age. My eyesight has recently been giving me problems – close up, things get all blury. Like old people, I’m reluctantly holding menues further away to read – it’s killin’ me! So, being one to never give up the good fight, I’m reading about the Bate’s method to restore eyesight. Lots of evidence points against wearing glasses, especially kids. The glasses “work” for the eyes weakening them even further – downward spiral sort of thing. Regarless, she’s got her elephant and looks pretty content – glasses or no. ~ Wunschdenker P.S. Sorry to hear of the German spammers…

Thanks for all your good Love Thursday wishes ๐Ÿ™‚

Wunschdenker, this little girl’s name is Beatrice, which actually sounds nicer in Italian (Bay-a-tree-chay), sort of. It’s her paternal grandmother’s name (of course)…not P’s mom’s name, thank goodness.

She’s apparently had surgeries and whatnot on her eyes (poverina!), but she has taken to the glasses pretty well. I’ve seen that info about wearing glasses weakening the eyes, and I have to say that I can personally identify–my eyes have been getting progressively worse since I was about 9 years old. In fact, I’m due for a new pair of glasses…ugh…I’ve thought about laser, but I think my eyes may actually be too nearsighted for that at this point. Damn higher education.
