Thanks Gil; would be a lovely place to lounge away the morning, wouldn’t it? This photo was taken in June when there was still no one around. Now? Not so relaxing, but come September…. 😉

Back.. GREAT interview. Reminds me a lot of when I lived in Brazil… I miss the fresh food and being able just to walk down to the corner market for the day’s vegies. I’m planning on visiting you and Cherrye one day… you’ve been warned! (and immersion is the BEST way to learn a language)

Qualcosa, hah! No, I’m not talking about Matucci’s (don’t tell anyone, but I’m not crazy about their pizza–and the owner is my sister-in-law’s godfather!). I’m talking about Pete’s, which used to be in Atlas but is now technically in Kulpmont–still on Route 61 though 🙂 Other favorites include Hollywood (MC), James’ (Shamokin, and Tower of Pizza (Marion Heights). Man we have some good pizza around those parts.

Linda, that photo was taken in Montepaone Lido, about a half hour drive from where I am (same spot, more or less, as the postcard photo from the previous post).

I went over and read your interview and it was a really great read! It seems you always put a lot of thought into what you say/write and I really appreciate that as one of your “readers”…thanks for sharing a little bit more about yourself!
Oh, now I am hungry (reading lasagna link) and feel exceedingly boring, as I have not moved to Italy, or anywhere else pretty, or with good food. I live a stones throw from where I grew up. My husband and I sometimes sit around and ask each other why “why, do we still live here?”. Best answer we have is, this area is low on natural disasters (and also we like our house).
It is nice to travel with you, through your words. And to know that some people don’t sit around dreaming, and wondering; they just do things.

Karina, why thank you for your kind words; I like to think that I say what I mean and mean what I say, although sometimes the words get in the way, so to speak–thanks for noticing 😉
Taffiny, you know, everyone has a path to follow in life, and I’m sure you know that the grass is always greener on the other side. Honestly, most people could never be happy where I am, but it works for me and so I go with it–and I hope you have a similar feeling about your natural disaster proof place!
Liking your house, btw, is no small feat–I’m not one for fancy cars and whatnot, but if my house isn’t homey and comfortable, I’m simply not happy.
Linda, we’ve probably just confused people since I answered your question before you asked…yeah well…I’m in tune with my readers that way 😉

This just makes me want to get on a plane to Italy right now. I’ve yet to see the sea here in Japan yet, but it’s crowded in summer, of course.
How are you enjoying the Ferragosto? BTW, I tested out my Japanese on one of my students yesterday – do I speak with an Italian accent, I asked her. She couldn’t tell – maybe it’s just the gaijins who can!
