Yes, I know the blog has been heavy on books and reviews lately, but that’s certainly not all we do around here. We also, for example, admire our baby goats.

Yes, the girls have been showing more sisterly love:

I’ve wanted to have goats since I was a girl, I’m now 60 and still dreaming. Yours are adorable and having them in Italy makes it all perfect.

Awwwww… makes me wanna rangle all the goats I see in heards and give em baths. Espeically if they’re that cute under all the muck!! Thanks for sharing your Kids with us

They’re so little! When you’ve put up pictures of the kids by themselves, they looked bigger, but with a you in the photo for perspective they’re suddenly the Itty Bitty Caprine Committee. The idea of knee-high goats makes me want to squee a little.

This is part of the reason I wanted to post a photo of us together–it’s hard to get a grasp of their size without a reference point (and FWIW, I’m only 5′2″ so they are *little*)

My mom’s dad was raised in Calabria, and after he moved to America, he had goats and all 8 of his children were raised on goat milk. I wasn’t, but these days I’m loving goat cheese. When will they give milk?

They’re still too young to breed, but they should be ready by the end of the year…then they’re preggers for five months, and after that, will have milk
