This is one of my all-time faves! And garlic and hot peppers are both good for preventing cancer. ;-) Thanks again for doing all of this!

Thank YOU Jen!

So easy and so tasty! Even though pasta is pretty expensive here in Kuching, we just have to bite the bullet and make it. Chinese noodles may be tasty but we gotsta have our spaghetti!

Sorry, but I think we're gonna miss the deadline for the O foods roundup.

No worries, Nate; just be sure to come back on Wednesday the 29th for the roundups!

Sounds like a tasty recipe! My mom use to make a similar recipe on the Feast of St. Joseph's, no pepper but with bread crumbs. I'll have to ask some relative for the recipe.

Hope you can recreate it, Rosina!

I always add the parsley and parmesan/grana, and I really should start adding toasted breadcrumbs every time, because they're so dang tasty.

This is also an easy recipe to jazz up with bacon bits (meat or vegetarian), cubed chicken, tofu or tempeh. Cook the meat/meat substitute first and then brown with the garlic, hot pepper and salt.

Another addition I like is greens like broccoli rabe or spinach. Wilt them in the pan with the garlic oil, then mix with the pasta.

I also like to add a tablespoon or two of heavy cream just before serving—it's unorthodox, but it combines with the olive oil and cheese to make a buttery, creamy sauce.

Now I want pasta all'aglio e olio. OM NOM NOM NOM

Oh the cream is just decadent; P would never go for it, but I'd love it! And yes, this is a great base for just about any veggie thrown in...even seafood actually. YUM!
