Hi Michelle, Awww, how sweet is that photo! I love the dog stories on your blog. My cocker spaniel was put to sleep in March of this year ( she was nearly 13, which I suppose is a lot in doggy years) but I miss her sooo much. I love hearing about other people’s dogs :0)
Just got back from Florence where my slipped disc dramatically played up ( had to call a private doctor to the hotel for injections and lots of ‘mystery tablets’ which worked well for the flight home). I also experienced Accident and Emergency in an Italian hospital… which was an experience, especially with my pidgeon Italian.

Oh Lizzie I’m so sorry to hear about your little baby dog…even if she was 13, she was still a baby in my book. I hope that at least for the most part, things went well medically here in Italy…we don’t have the best reputation in that area Anyway, happy holidays to you and yours!

yes i remember how much i adored your puppy posts last year!!!! they were oh so cute and i’m sure brought a lot of cheer to your holidays last year!

Very sweet pics! Does Stella remember Chicco? How do they interact? I remember my cat and her kitten meeting up a year after I gave her away and they fought like, um, cats and dogs.

Just after Christmas last year we had to let our last little buddy, Reesie, go. He was 15 and had a stroke on Christmas Day. The second hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, the first being when it came time to say goodbye our our first, Bundnie was 16. I keep thinking about getting another pup – decide against it and then see pictures like this. The problem is that I see so many unhappy looking dogs here in Rome. I’m not sure its the place to have a dog. But ask me about that in a few months time … I’ll probably be writing about the new pup at that point.

They are lovely doggies!!!! I’ve been going through this dilema and finally decided not to make Boleta become a mummy this time… I was nearly going to make it, but finally I didn’t make up my mind. Maybe during the summer… it must be such a marvellous experience
