The pictures are all good, but the last has the most useful perspective. I'm amazed that watermelon is not too wet for this. I'll try it when local watermelons come into season (unseeded; parse that!)

My wife's favorite wrap is steamed collar greens, trimmed and sauteed in oil and garlic. Lay a bit of greens on a slice of prosciutto and roll it up.

I've never had an issue with the wetness of the watermelon; hope you enjoy it!

Om nom nom! I had watermelon the other weekend at a friend's house and it was delicious. I've never been much of a fan of it, if I'm honest, finding it too bland and watery, but this one was really sweet. Maybe it's the difference between the seeded/unseeded, as someone suggested above?

FWIW I think picture #3 is the best. It clearly shows the layers and I like the hint of green in the background - it lifts the colours without being distracting from the focal point.

I've definitely had my best watermelon here *by far* Katja...*so* tasty! Enjoy while they last!

Really good!! Never tried to use watermelon together with prosciutto, I've always had it with yellow melon.

In my blog I posted two recipes with watermelon:

Yoghurt pannacotta with watermelon jam

and Gello di Mellone, a typical Sicilian summer dessert

Baci,
Daniela

I vote for the third picture, although the second is very very nice too!

I was going to rave about watermelon juice but I see someone already mentioned it. It's deliciously refreshing...and uses up a lot of watermelon quickly (in case batting the eyelashes doesn't work in getting you just a piece of one).

The seeded watermelons have been delicious this year...I'm attempting to eat one all by myself.

Will try this today, perhaps with fontina since that's all I have in the house.

I always think of watermelon as something to eat at the end of the meal...now I will have it at the beginning too!

Thanks for the new idea.
