Ciao Sognatrice, I've never done a meme before, and I'm not really sure how to link back to you and how it really works, but this is where it is: http://waspgoddess.blogspot.com/2007/01/where-were-you.html

I remember the shuttle as being one of the pivotal moments of my childhood (or at least a memory that really sticks out) - actually I was in middle school at that point. One of the teachers in our school district had been a candidate but was beat out by Christa Mcauliffe so we all watched it with excitement. Horrible. I'll never forget the family member's faces as they watched in confusion, shock and horror. I was here during Sept. 11 but New York is "my town" and it's actually still very hard for me to think back to those days. Not to be a drama queen but I do feel like that was a pivotal moment in my adulthood and there is a certain sense of innocence lost and "life will never be the same."

The shuttle? Saw it with my own eyes. That was not a cool time to be living on the Space Coast.
